If you don’t have the time or inclination to go trekking ( Nepal planet treks organized ) in the higher regions of Nepal, this mountain flight will take you to the Himalayas on an extraordinary experience that includes views of Mount Everest and other major mountains.
Soon after the plane takes off, you’ll have views of the mighty Himalaya peaks. The first that comes into view is Gosaithan, or Shisha Pangma, at 8,203 meters. To its right the Dorje Lakpa (6,966 meters) appears, and farther to the right, Phurbi Ghyanchu (6,658 meters).
As the flight approaches the mountain range, you’ll marvel at the sight of majestic snow-capped peaks. You’ll see Choba-Bhamare (5,933 meters), followed by Gauri-Shanker (7,134 meters), Melungtse (7,181 meters), Chugimago (6,297 meters), Numbur (6,956 meters), Karyolung (6,511 meters), and Cho- Oyu, at 8,201 meters, the 8th-highest mountain in the world.
There are still more to come, including Gyanchugkang (7,952 meters), Pumori (7,855 meters), Nuptse (7,855 meters), and then finally Mount Everest, at 8,848 meters the world’s highest mountain.
You’ll be invited to the cockpit where you’ll be even better positioned to take photos. You can be sure that views of the spectacular Himalayan peaks will stay with you for a lifetime.
